At 7 p.m. on October 19, Associate Professor Gao Baoying of the School of Marxism of NPU gave a psychological lecture entitled 'Emotions and Emotional Regulation' for teachers and students in the 332 classroom. The lecture was presided over by Wang Huan, secretary of the Youth League Committee of the College and master's counselor.

Associate Professor Gao Baoying first made a brief introduction to the development and evolution of psychology. Then, from the perspective of psychology, he systematically describes the main contents of emotion, emotion regulation, emotion regulation strategies, etc. Firstly, he analyzes the concept, composition, dimension and function of emotion, and leads everyone to scientifically and objectively understand 'what is emotion'; Secondly, he vividly describes the connotation and ways of emotion regulation, and holds that emotion regulation mainly consists of organic regulation and process regulation, both of which are to ensure individual adaptability. The third is to explain the strategies of emotional regulation, including avoidance and approach strategies, control and correction strategies, attention transfer strategies, cognitive change strategies.

Finally, Wang Huan commented on this wonderful lecture, thinking that the theme of this lecture is humorous and vivid. At the same time, she expressed the gratitude to Associate Professor Gao Baoying. At the end of the lecture, Wang Huan presented Gao Baoying with a well-prepared retirement souvenir on behalf of the School to express heartfelt gratitude for his decades of hard work.
